Like the location as it is near to Dr Wessels gate and close to eating places. The family room was a decent size to accommodate 4 pax. Breakfast was a decent spread.

Great Staff, location, comfy beds, pool on site, breakfast included, sledge for kids available, free coffee/tea in lobby, plan of the town available together with the excursion leaflets.

The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Kirkenes with easy access to shops and restaurants. We arrived early but the lovely receptionist was extremely kind and welcoming. Not only did she find us a room with a beautiful view but we were also allowed to check-in ahead of time. Breakfast was included and it was absolutely delicious with so many options from which to choose. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was our second stay in two months in this excellent hotel. As before, our room was modern, spacious and attractive with the added advantages of a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, effective blackout curtains and a view over the town. Our dinner of reindeer in the restaurant was very good and the breakfast was, as before, excellent with a huge range of choices. Benjamin on reception was a real star - friendly, efficient and helpful and he gets extra points for having an Australian baseball cap which he proudly put on for us.

Hotel was located centrally in the town square, and within walking distance to a supermarket, parks and eateries. Breakfast was amazing, with a wide spread of Scandinavian and international cuisine. Food was freshly prepared and wait staff were very attentive. There was a luggage hold to keep our luggage while the room was being readied for our arrival. Staff were approachable and the check-in/out procedure was seamless.

We stayed only one night in Scandic Kirkenes in the beginning of November but it was super nice. We traveled with our dog and there wasn’t any problem to book a room here. There was a very pleasant receptionist who helped us a lot. We didn’t check all the facilities but it was a nice surprise to hear that they even have a swimming pool there. Also I’d like to mention a good and quiet breakfast in the Scandic restaurant. The location of hotel is perfect too - it’s right in the centre of the town I’d say so we have some time to walk around.

We spent three days at the Scandic, and we really loved it; It is located in the city centre of Kirkenes; Everything can be reached by foot, there are a couple of restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets nearby. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful and gave us great informations about what can be done in the area. There is free coffee at the reception available the whole time. The rooms and views are very nice and totally clean. There is also a restaurant in the hotel. We also liked and enjoyed the covered swimming pool and sauna, which can be used for free. Especially the breakfast is really amazing and very varied and has everything for every taste....So next time we will definitely come back to Scandic, and we will visit also Kirkenes again....

Convenient restaurant onsite (especially when it was -20C outside!) and the food was good. Room was average size with good light and heating. Bathroom was good. This hotel is a exactly what it says - good mid-of-the-road standard for an overnight stay. Close walk to everything.
